In his 1908 book, Orthodoxy, G.K. Chesterton describes his faith as that of a man who sets sail from his hometown to find an undiscovered land. He happens upon a town that surprises him with joy and intrigue, a new way of life that he had never previously known. In fact, the wind had simply re-directed him back to his hometown just as he had left it, but because of the ourney he had taken and the expectation with which he explored, the town had new life that satisfied his deepest longings for truth.
Now, one hundred years later, the process of this recording has been much the same for me. These songs are a small piece of my journey.
